There are no shortcuts.
Hard work is the only way to get where you want to go in fitness, in business, or in life.
It's understandable to want a shortcut. You see people that are where you want to be, maybe they have a great career or they have a great physique or a huge deadlift. You imagine that they got there with a strike of luck. They started a business that has taken off overnight, they have abs because they eat a special food or train a special way, they are strong because they follow a secret training program.
What you don't see is the hard work they put in. Countless sleepless nights, failed start ups, quitting their reliable day job to risk it all, training on vacation, counting calories and skipping holiday meals, training when their shoulder or back hurts, training despite life happening around them, eating to grow despite lack of appetite or money, seeing the vision even when no one else does.
The moment that you realize this, you can move forward. You'll quit picking up motivational books, you'll quit looking for detox tea and diet pills, you'll quit trying 8 week diets or trying out exercises in that article that promises abs in 5 minutes a day and you'll take responsibility.
Put in the work, and keep putting in the work, and you will inch closer to where you want to be. You're responsible for your failures the same as wins.
