Proceeding death, in my self did I die
For the sake of love to be made abound,
By a latent continuation I was given life
When the night had fallen; not a sound.
Doomed to the tomb as I died to feel alive
When in your heart, did my heart compound
For in death I put my own aside
To give of myself like the hand that found.
Still, the waves carried to rage in tide
Behold! my body was plunging down,
Then a word spoke out to fury: Subside!
And the earth was turned to enchanted ground.
A madness found in redeeming mercy
An inward glimmer / an outward avenger,
The woe of sorrow reckoned me worthy
Giving grace much needed space to enter.
Hope unfurled in a place of uncertainty
Putting love to rest in a shy surrender,
A merciful hand placed peace in calamity
And wounded my soul to forever remember.
In this glory I found a drop from the stream,
Howbeit in a drop, the stream did I capture?
And once like the waves and rays that beamed;
My heart is now raised in a secret rapture.
