We’ve got some news.
Our miscarriage wasn’t just a loss of a fetus. No. We aren’t just mourning the death of a ball of cells. Nothing near.
His name is Jude Isaac Mantooth.
His heart stopped developing between weeks 6 & 7.
He had Down Syndrome.
Our second son, Jude Isaac. Sweet, deeply loved boy.
We had my blood tested before we even knew about the miscarriage, to find out his gender early. Thank God it was in perfect timing, or else I’m unsure we would’ve gotten this done after the news came about. We were thrilled to know he was a HE... although both Caleb & I both really felt he was a boy the whole time. We celebrate his life. We thank God for his life, while resting within my womb. We miss him, long for him, & will always desire our boy in our arms. We celebrate that we are the parents of two world-changing boys. Yes- even the testimony of Jude’s life will go on to impact. In Jesus’ name. We declare & believe it.
Thank you to everyone who has been so incredibly kind to us during this process. For all of the letters, comments, flowers & gifts. For every person who has prayed over our family. We love & appreciate you all.
Our family will grow again one day, making us the mother & father of THREE beautiful masterpieces from the hand of God, but Jude’s life will never be forgotten or not included as our son.
We love you, our Jude Isaac. Your life is impeccably & absolutely beautiful. “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.”
