Starry Nights In Spiti Valley🌌
I have always seen a sky full of stars at night, at the world’s greatest heights but not even a single one of ‘em could match the star gazing in the Spiti Valley. It felt like I was myself a part of the sky, with the Milky Way visible by the naked eye. I will not forget this night throughout my life, as I waited patiently until 3 am when the milky way aligned right up in front of my hotel room view. T’was one hell of an experience, my hands frozen as the temperature dipped 12 degrees below normal. After taking a couple of photographs I noticed about the haze on my lens and got rid off it, to continue my venture.
The night sky can be addictive. Just ask those who come home yawning from a sleepless night chasing the Milky Way. Its dark, often quiet and for the most part pretty damn lonely while slowly composing 15-20 seconds exposure over and over. You become a bit transfixed by the moving stars. I end up talking to myself by the end of the night. I know the end result is beautiful but I reckon those that really love chasing the Milky Way enjoy the solitude as much as the image processing.
