Calories have increased again this week. Currently consuming 4500 calories a day. Keeping the foods very limited in choice, mainly aiming for foods that are easy to digest and have an amazing macro and micronutrient properties, such as gluten-free white rice, minced beef, eggs, oats, avocado, bacon, bananas, spinach, nuts, and seeds, etc. _ Daily food looks something like this: _ * Morning (pre-workout) - full can of beans, 3 organic free-range eggs, 2 rashers of bacon and two bananas. (900 calories) _ * Post workout shake - whey protein powder, flax seeds, goats milk, oats, coconut oil. (850 calories) _ * Three meals the same - white gluten-free basmati rice, minced beef, spinach, and avocado. Eating clean is not boring. I’ve been craving some good wholesome ‘plain boring’ hake and veg. Taking a long off-season to build more muscle before I get on stage again (I want to move up a division to Figure) means I’ve been pretty relaxed with my diet. I’ve made sure I still get the protein and nutrients my body need to build more lean muscle but I’ve also been adding some xxxtras to make my meals more exciting. Exercises doesn’t need to mean putting your body through extensive strain and vigorous workouts. It doesn’t need to be hours long and It also doesn’t have to be a dreaded effort. Exercising can be fun if you are doing something you enjoy. You just need to find what works for you. I see so many people running... and you know what!? I don’t understand why anyone wants to put themselves through that struggle.... 😂 but that’s just it... running is a struggle...for ME!! Yet I workout 5 times a week and someone might look at me and think the same thing... how could she enjoy that?? It’s because I’ve found something I enjoy! And those runners... probably enjoy running! 🤷🏼‍♀️ just guessing.... 🤪 Putting my shoes on and crushing an at home workout.. gets me excited! it makes me happy, gives me so much energy and I see results! Sunday’s are usually rest days for me but today I wanted to crush a workout and so I did. And now I’m feeling gooooood!! 🤩 There is no need to over exercise. There’s no need to force yourself through a painful workout or a run you don’t want to do.... but just do something. Trust me. You won’t regret a good stroll in the park or a bike ride (well maybe you will if the seat is uncomfortable 🤣) but just go press play. Growing up I was an active kid. I played tennis in the summer and figure skated in the winter. Funny thing, I am more fit now than I was then. I even played tennis in college, but I gained the Freshman 15 and weighed my heaviest. Which is kind of crazy considering I ran a mile every day before practice, ran sprints and lifted a few times a week. You would think I would have been in great shape but I ate like a college student! I was not fueling my body with the nutritious foods it needed. Nutrition is 80% of your results, so if you are eating like crap, you won’t see results. Completed a Sports Massage, with Flexibility and Mobility exercises with Mark who had a stiff neck, tight shoulders, mid back ache and lack of mobility due to aches and pains. . Sports Massage completed to stretch the massages out and make the muscles feel more relaxed. Then completed some flexibility and mobility work, giving him some quick exercises to do to help with the rehabilitation phase. . People need to remember to flex, stretch and mobilise joints regularly to prevent soreness, injuries and stress. Whether you work at a computer, working in a gym, to warehousing or teaching. Everyone needs to look after their bodies, because having a healthy body, with give you a healthy mind. . What if you could make a full time income working from home..would you do it? 🤳🏻 . The past few weeks my family have done through a bout of flu, one after another like a set of bloody dominos. It’s my time now 🧟‍♀️ . The same few weeks I’ve also moved house, been on holiday and have been with my kids looking after them from morning until night 🌙 . Although this may sound like torture to some of you 😂 I have been after an opportunity that would ALLOW me to have that flexibility with my kids. To be there when they are sick, to be there when they are sad, to be there when they need their mummy. . I didn’t realise there was a business that I could do from home whilst becoming healthy & fit in the process #goals . Although my main job title is #mum , after having my kids I knew I still wanted to work. I’m fortunate in that I could stay at home with my kids but let me tell you, that came at a price. . Although my little darlings gave me so much joy i needed to find something that would allow me to contribute financially to our family budget. . I also needed something for me. I needed to be more than wife & mummy(who else agrees 🙋🏼‍♀️) . For the first time in a long time I’ve had such a drive when I wake every day. And yes it’s hard to get up when I’ve been up all night with my baby but when you find something your excited to do it’s not that difficult. . Plus when your salary increases month after month doing something so rewarding, it’s extremely motivating to keep going! . If your reading this and this sounds like you, this is possible for you too! Great morning!! I had a busy day yesterday so I forgot to post my stats. I did make it to my class but by the time I got there it was already packed. I wanted to leave, but I stayed because I needed it since I missed the other classes last week.⁣ ⁣ And even though I had just left the gym the night before and was back in there bright and early the next morning, I still did an hour of cardio and I did the treadmill. I was gonna walk the beach later but other plans came up.⁣ ⁣ I was glad that I was able to get up and get it done early becuz sumtimes I never know how my Saturdays will go.⁣ ⁣ One step at a time.
