#WednesdayWisdom This is so true! Often over time we start to allow things creep in, bad habits, not being organised, poor time management. When we refer to standards we often think of the scores we want or how good we need to be to qualify for something but actually here we are talking about the little things, that in turn make a big difference!
I had to have a real think about this whilst I was off, and decided that sometimes when it involves doing something with my horses,I dont always allow enough time, which in turn may get me quite stressed.
I wasnt setting my self up for success, I had gotten used to everything being a rush - until i decided it really didn't have to be! 🤦♀️
I sat down and wrote down all the things that hindered me getting the best out of a lesson or at competition or even working them at home.
I then decided that actually I'm the one who is control of all these things! So I now clean my tack every monday,so that if I have a lesson it's already pretty clean, I plan in competition prep time in the week leading up to it, I block out time to load the trailer, i even plan to get to the competition an hour before I'm due to get ready so i can chill.
So if you are always feeling rushed, under pressure or stressed, then check in with what standards you have set yourself and dont accept them!
Whether it's being late for your lessons so your not warmed up and ready, or its not allowing yourself time to get in zone before riding so you can think clearly, or even if you know the horse wasnt off your leg enough for the last 2 transitions, but they were ok - ⭐⭐CHANGE YOUR FUTURE- CHANGE YOUR STANDARDS⭐⭐ #Yougotthis #Teamblount #Maximiseyourperformance #teamworkmakesthedreamwork
