47/365 has a lot on my mind latly and let my daily posting slip a bit so gonna try and get back on my grind today with this image of a Japanese garden. .
I really like the juxtaposition between the foreground and background in this image with sharp focus on the white temporarily blooming flowers against the out of focus traditional Japanese structure
On my trip to Hagi with Heartland Japan, we took a short 15 minute ride from the town center to Mt. Kasayama (yesterday's post) where we hiked a unique trail through a grove of thick camellia trees. Approximately 25,000 'Camellia Japonica' grow naturally here. They are at their most beautiful when they blossom - from December to March, but the forest is magical year-round (this photo was taken in November). @excursions_japan #japan #hagi #yamaguchi #forest #hiking #hikingjapan #heartlandjpn

The subtle scent of roasted teas and freshly pounded mochi entices the average tourist to enter popular side shops and appreciate the expert craftsmanship of such simplistic delights.
