We can’t control the words that come out of people’s mouth... or their actions. What we can control is how we react to it. Simply switching your thinking from ‘I have no control’ to ‘I’m in control’ can save you a loooot of energy. However, cementing this kind of thinking requires daily practice. But through this, we can learn to act and react, emotionally and mentally, in a different way (a more positive way for our sake). We can learn to remain detached and unaffected by the situation.
