The view from Reunion Tower gives a nice aerial view of the city of Dallas and surrounding areas. Despite a bit of haze, it was possible to see landmarks such as the Cotton Bowl stadium to the east and AT&T Stadium to the west.
This seemed like a "must do" attraction for my first ever visit to Dallas, and first real visit to the state of Texas (I once had a short layover in Houston, but I don't count that as a true visit). It was pretty spectacular, and got there early enough to get some good, late afternoon light and still have enough space to move around before the sunset crowds arrived. The clouds were moving about here, looking a bit ominous, but ultimately just providing enough dramatic texture for the sky. They disappeared almost as quickly as they had appeared.
This is from a panoramic image. Several longer focal length shots taken and then stitched together.
As I was in Dallas for a specific reason, I did not really get to explore the city as well as I might have if I had more time. However, I'm certain a return trip is in the future.
