WARNSCALE BECK——————————————————— 📍Buttermere, The Lake District ——————————————————— Warnscale Beck is a river in the Lake District, Cumbria, England which flows in a northwesterly direction to its mouth in the Buttermere lake. The Warnscale Beck has several small tributaries, including the Black Beck, which rises in the Blackbeck Tarn. By connecting the Buttermere Lake with the Crummock Water, from which the River Cocker originates, the Warnscale Beck can be counted among the source rivers of the River Cocker. ——————————————————— #buttermere #warnscalebeck #lakedistrict #lakedistrictnationalpark #fromlakelandwithlove #thelakelanders #onelakedistrict #hikingthelakes #walkinguk #igerscumbria #ukscenery #ukhiddengems #ukhikers

A Daily Forest - Crummock Water ________________________________________ Crummock Water doesn’t get the same love as its more glamourous sister, Buttermere : ) It should, because this beautiful, peaceful place is stunning. Endless, sparkling water under great looming fells. I was lucky to catch it in blazing sunshine this year. ________________________________________ #philmcdarby #adailyforest #thelakelanders #lakedistrict #thelakedistrict #cumbria #capturingbritain #gloriousbritain #uk_greatshots #fromlakelandwithlove #lovelakeswalks #landscapes_of_britain #igerscumbria #igerslakedistrict #lakedistrictnationalpark #scenicbritain #brilliantbritain #nature_brilliance #fav_squares #beautiful #thisprettyengland #everything_imaginable #hikingthelakes #onelakedistrict #light #raw_uk_ #crummockwater #crummock

Life suddenly seems quite simple. I’m trying to use one of my days off each week to walk one of the Wainwrights, if I can. ⁣ ⁣ I used to be quite nervous solo hiking, a bit slow, a bit imbalanced. But investing in some hiking poles and decent boots has really helped, and each week I’m trying to push myself a little more, move a little faster, climb a little higher.⁣ Pick a place, climb the fell, feel my body change, notice my heart and mind flourish. ⁣ ⁣ Growing a little bit stronger, and falling in love with the Lake District a little bit more with each passing week 💚

Long weekend away in the Lakes was lovely no matter the weather on some of the days 🌧 you’ve just go to make the most of it. After all, there wouldn’t be lakes without the rain ☔️ plus it gives some moody vibes 🏞 * * We stayed in a lovely apartment in Bowness booked through @lakeloversuk which was just lovely too! Perfect location, spacious, lovely decor and clean! Have already recommended it to others! #lakedistrict #thelakedistrictnationalpark #thelakedistrict #cumbria #visitcumbria #grasmere #nationaltrust #nationalpark #lakeland #thelakelanders #lakelovers #bowness #bownessonwindermere #windermere #lakewindermere #weekendaway #longweekend #moodylight #rainorshine #igerscumbria #igerslakedistrict #holidayapartment #countryside #englishcountrysideadventures #countrysidelife #favouriteplace #hiswaywardjourney #adventurer #exploringthelakes #exploring

I was back in the Lake District this weekend for the first time since being back from Scotland. The Langdale area never seems to disappoint after the epicness of Scotland either. On Saturday's walk up Bow Fell there was some nice light kicking about over Pike O' Blisco. We only got rained on once all day too which was a nice bonus. . . #lakedistrict #lakedistrictuk #lakedistrictnationalpark #ullswater #ordnancesurvey #hikersuk #getoutside #hikingthelakes #landscapephotography #capturingbritain #landscapephoto #scenicbritain #fujixt2 #fuji #instabritain #lovegreatbritain #britainstalent #explorebritain #bbcearth #igdaily #thelakelanders #hikingthelakes #igerslakedistrict #igerscumbria #potd #throwbackthursday

Looking down the valley of Miterdale from the crags at the head of it. The valley was formed by an ancient river that cut it's way down and the curved crags at its head would have formed an impressive waterfall. The old river has since changed course causing the River Mite to be a more gentle stream rather than a raging river but the valley its left behind is well worth a wander along. . . . . . #thegreatoutdoors #osmaps #ordnancesurvey #igooutdoors #ourlakedistrict #ukhikers #scenicbritain #lakeswalksandpubs #hikingthelakes #fromlakelandwithlove #thelakelanders #backpackingbritain #lakedistrict #timetoplay #igerslakedistrict #igerscumbria #visitcumbria #thisismyadventure #lakedistrictuk #mudandroutes #lifeoutdoors #werehikers #neverstopexploring #createyourtrail #livefortheoutdoors #modernoutdoors #sharpedge #adventurethatislife #welivetoexplore #wastwaterscrees

A Panoramic view of Wastwater from the mouth of the river at Low Wood in the Lake district. I was happy to get these brief calm conditions at sunset and get the reflections and the red glow of the sun on the screes. I was about to pack up for the evening when this fleeting light appeared.

You’ll never be short of great places to eat in the #LakeDistrict 🍴The Punch Bowl Inn nestled in the heart of the charming #LythValley is a classic contemporary style restaurant with 2 AA Rosettes. Ps. You’ll find the most random post boxes in the lakes 🤷🏽‍♀️

Another Gummers Swipey ▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️⠀ Good morning. Yet another from my only actual morning out with the camera so far this year. With football, family and work I've not had chance to get anywhere but due to work commitments changing recently I've had to quit my role at Penrith AFC so I'm hoping this frees up a bit more time to get back out in the lakes and get to know my camera again, obviously once sunrise isn't at stupid o clock 😂. ▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️ #LakeDistrict #windermere #getoutside #Cumbria #fromlakelandwithlove #thelakelanders #Walking #visitcumbria #theplacetobe #wekeepmoments #igerscumbria #lakesography #moodygrams #beautifulbritain #wildernessculture #ukscenery #thegreatoutdoors #explore #hiking #LandscapeLovers #canon #hikingthelakes #rural_love #mountains #Countryside_features #heart_imprint #agameoftones #fiftyshadesofnature #lightroomcc

A lovely view from Hope Park, Keswick. I would really recommend this park as there are lots of fun recreational activities for all the family and it’s a nice flat walk if your legs and feet are tired from climbing the fells - a little bit of history below 👇🏼 In 1925 the land was used for grazing the railway coach-horses which drew weary passengers from the busy Keswick Station to the hotels in the town. Sir Percy Hope owned the land and began developing it into a miniature golf course. It was opened on 27th May 1927 by Mr. J. H. Taylor, who was the British golf champion at the time, since when the park has become an important recreational area for both the residents and visitors. The beautiful ornamental garden was once the private garden of Lady Hope. It was the wish of Sir Percy and Lady Hope that the inhabitants of Keswick and visitors to the town would continue to enjoy these recreational facilities and after his death in 1974 the Hope Park Charitable Trust took over the running of the park in his memory. #lakedistrict #landscapephotography #gardens #hopepark #keswick #visitthelakedistrict #thelakelanders
