Last weekend closed a long and incredibly rich chapter in my life experience, guiding bushwalks across the Freycinet Peninsula and living intermittently at Friendly Beaches Invisible Lodge. This is where my guiding career began and over the past eight years the place, the people and all of the associated experiences have enriched my life beyond comprehension. The amazing friendships that have formed, the intimate connections I now have with that place and the personal growth that has arisen in me are all things for which I am infinitely grateful. Swimming with dolphins, getting close and personal with humpback whales, climbing granite peaks, late night debriefs with co-guides, star gazing on the beach, meaningful conversations by the fire, pranks and banter, runnins with tiger snakes, top notch cuisine, daily swims in the turquoise waters, boat trips to Schouten Island and getting a mention in Aus Geo are some of my many highlights from working there. Here's a few photos from the end of season party; slab crawling up Mt Dove and Mt Amos before getting proper freaky later that night with cocktails and dancing until we dropped.
