- tbh idk if I’ll ever be as passionate about anything the way I am about banana bread🤩 but seriously if u have some spotty bananas laying around, you have to try this healthy banana bread recipe! refined sugar free and ridiculously delicious!💫 - ingredients: • 3 medium spotted bananas mashed • 1/4 cup of lavvas plain dairy free unsweetened yogurt, perfect for this recipe!! • 1/4 cup oil of choice, I chose avocado cause it’s what I had • 3/4 cup all purpose white flour, possible more if mixture is too runny • 1/2 cup spelt flour • 1/4-1/2 cup coconut sugar, depends on how sweet u want it • 2 eggs • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda • 2 teaspoons baking powder • 2 teaspoons ish of cinnamon and more to top • 2-3 teaspoons vanilla extract - directions: 1. preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 2. combine oil, yogurt, sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and blend on medium until well combined 3. add in both eggs one at a time and vanilla extract 4. add them mashed bananas baby 5. mix all dry ingredients (spelt flour, all purpose flour, baking soda and baking powder) in a separate bowl 6. add dry mixture in slowly with wet until well combined 7. spray some tins with oil and lay down a piece of parchment paper on just bottom and 2/4 of the sides (idk if that makes sense but it’s a trick to make sure it doesn’t stick cause that ain’t cute) 8. bake for 60-80 mins, but check up on her to see how she’s doing and that she ain’t burning 9. once done, let cool for 15 mins, remove from pans and BAM! Mobility dogs are undoubtedly the world’s greatest service dogs (okay, maybe I’m a little biased). But they definitely do have the most physically demanding job among the types of service dogs! Mobility dogs perform a VERY wide variety of tasks that range from pulling a wheelchair, bracing, forward momentum pulling, and counterbalance, all the way to retrieving items, turning lights on and off, opening doors and cabinets, and even helping out with the laundry! Mobility tasks can be used by a wide variety of service dogs such as psychiatric service dogs and medical alert dogs, but what sets apart a mobility dog from other types of service dogs that perform some mobility tasks, is that their job is to take care of someone who is primarily disabled by a mobility-limiting condition. So, like in some of my past SD Awareness Month posts, I talked with some fellow mobility dog handlers and asked them what was important for people to know and this is what they had to say: ~ @silverservicedog said that it’s important for people to know that there are different levels and types of mobility dogs such as heavy and light mobility. Mobility dogs don’t just help those in wheelchairs or who have a hard time walking, they can also help people with balance issues, give them forward momentum, and puck up objects for those who struggle with dizziness or physically can’t bend down. ~ @surveytheservicedog wants you to know that thanks to her dog Survey, she can leave the house safely and with confidence and that though she doesn’t put much weight on him, the help he provides is HUGE and has allowed her to live independently. ~ @braesday is extremely grateful for her mobility dog, Brae. She says thanks to Brae, “I am doing the one thing I never thought possible. I am able to navigate my world and accomplish my daily tasks.” She also says “What most people take for granted is what I yearn for most: the ability to be on my own” and thanks to Brae, she has definitely been given that. ~ Continued in comments

Finding moments of quiet to slow down and take the time to dig into a new book can be difficult. . Reading can be so therapeutic and one can really get lost with the characters and gives us a moment in time to disconnect to the world around you. . The hardest part of reading a good book is like finishing a favorite Netflix series. Today started at 5am. I spring cleaned my bedroom, took out everything stored under the bed and polished and hoovered within an inch of my life! Got my daughter her morning fruit, made breakfast, provided more snacks. Finally managed to get in the shower, and get out the door for 11am, I’m not totally sure what I was actually doing for the whole 6 hours but it didn’t involve enjoying a lazy Sunday morning with a cup of tea in bed! Took my daughter to get her feet measured and bought her some new wellies, shoes and other bits, on the way home I had that overwhelming feeling of “I’m an actual parent, I have a daughter”. I still don’t believe it sometimes even though she’s 3 1/2. I also felt like a proper grown up, in charge of my life and providing for another human. There are a few things that make me feel like a real grown up; buying stamps and having a booklet in my purse, and on a blowy day, thinking “oh good day for the washing to be out! Home for lunch, Indiana got her arm stuck in a chair whilst helping, dealt with tears, then we walked into town for some stuff I’d forgotten. More snacks and a bit of down time for Indiana, I still managed to find “stuff” to do, when we got home. An hour out with my sister and her kids, home, more cooking, feeding, washing up, more tears brought on by tiredness, stories, teeth, then bed. Saying goodnight to my baby girl, and feeling my heart burst with love for her makes the challenges of the day fade into insignificance. You’ll hear from people that practice drugless medicine that we need to get to the root cause of your symptoms. Sometimes doctors can help with this but most of them use pharmaceuticals which depending on what is going on can help, but we also need to check other factors. Just to be clear I do not diagnose, treat, or cure disease because legally only doctors can. So how does someone like me help with root causes? Based on symptoms and certain labs tests we can take a look at your minerals, bacteria, parasites, certain vitamins levels, toxicity, sensitivities, and hormones from labs that most doctors don’t use; but some of the more natural practicing doctors will. Slowly these labs are being utilize and unfortunately not covered by insurance so they can cost more money. With my certification I’ll go through the “DESTRESS” protocol to help give you relief. With a combination of Diet, Exercise, Stress Reduction, Toxin Removal, Rest, Emotional Balance, Supplements, and Stress Reduction that would be appropriate to why you feel miserable. These parts of the protocols will change as one root cause stops giving you issues, and when you retest you’re levels are at ideal optimal levels for you to function. Buckwheat Waffles with Sunflower butter and Tahini is what for breakfast 🤤 with a side of coffee (yes! After 4 months break, I’m back with coffee and it feels so good). So Delicious 🤤 . . Took a 15 minutes walk outside, very slow but goshhh, it gave me life! There is nothing better than breathing fresh air 🌬🌬✨. . . . 👩🏻‍🍳For my waffles: Whisk 2 egg whites, add 1 tsp baking powder, 2 TBS Apple Cider Vinegar and whisk again, add 1 TBS Buckwheat Flour, 1 TBSP Whole Ground Flaxseed, 1 scoop Devotion Nutrition Angel Food Cake, 1 tsp Ceylon Cinnamon, 1 TBS Organic Whole Husk Psyllium and 1 TBS water. Whisk everything well with a fork and let your batter sit for 10 minutes 🙂 Add more water if batter is too thick. Pour half batter into a hot waffle iron. Cook until golden brown. Repeat. Plate it up, add your favorite toppings and enjoy! I’m having one waffle with Sunflower Butter and the other one with Tahini... Try it! I gave my best advice ever as a Naturopath last week, and I’m going to share it all with you to validate all your Sunday feels. The best thing you can do for yourself is lay in bed having a slow morning once in a while (cuddling is an added extra bonus). We are constantly go go these days, everybody I know is bloody burnt out and dead on the inside. Having these slow moments, drinking coffee in bed, reading, cuddling, and just CHILLING is so good for us.
