Happy Rhino Friday! School children in Kenya get up close and personal with a beautiful black rhino. The poor guy is blind after losing his one eye through infection and the other fighting with another bull when he was young. He is now totally dependent on his minders who look after him 24/7. We believe these types of positive interactions are vital in helping educate the next generation. Despite what most people in developed countries believe, the vast majority of rural Africans see wildlife as a negative. Educating them that wildlife=tourism=positive benefits is our key message and happy to see Kenya doing a great job here. I wish more African National Parks waived entry fees for people under 18.
