Evening all! Typical, the first flurry of snow in the Lakes and where am I? London... 🙄 Still, all in a good cause, my eldest’s 9th Birthday 😁 This is from my wander up Lingmoor the other day.

Late evening light falls on the beautiful and unmistakeable Langdale Pikes. Taken from Lingmoor Fell shortly before my @thelakelanders post from yesterday was shot.

Happy 2019 everyone! This was taken just after Christmas on a rare foray out in the school holidays. Pre sunrise tones lit up the sky over Derwentwater. A beautifully serene place in calm weather, even with the odd other photographer roaming around!

Happy 2019 everybody!! As everyone else is doing it I thought I’d pop 9 of my favourites together from 2018. It’s been a great year for me with the camera. The LPOTY success was a real boost before being asked to join @thelakelanders. Having only started a bit more seriously a couple of years ago, along with juggling the business and family life, I couldn’t have wished for any more from 2018. Thank you to everyone for all the lovely comments and likes, hopefully 2019 will be another good one! 🤞🎉👍

A beautiful sunrise across Blencathra from Catbells. The day hadn’t started quite as planned with a frozen car and dodgy sat nav costing me half an hour, precious time when you’re trying to get to the top for sunrise! My first outing in a pair of crampons and the early start were well worth it though, as a magical morning unfolded in front of me.

Apologies for the radio silence of recent, my decorating hat has been firmly on! Anyway, now I’ve had a moment on the computer i’ve managed to edit a couple. This is from a lovely morning in Ambleside a few weeks ago.

Sunrise from Loughrigg as the mist rolls up the valley...

Back on it today after building a fireplace over the last week, as you do! This is Hindscarth on a memorable day earlier this year. Will we be so lucky again this winter?! 🤞

Another couple from Loughrigg at the weekend. Wonderful conditions on a beautiful fell.

After a failed attempt at anything half decent from Kelly Hall Tarn I went for a splash around on Torver Commons. This tree stump and it’s reflection caught my eye

Some lovely colour at Yew Tree Tarn despite the murky conditions! Always a nice place for a roam on a calm day.

Pleased to have been shortlisted for the golakes holiday guide for the second year running. If you could spare a second to vote via the link in my bio it would be much appreciated 😀😀👍🙏

After the very fleeting light across the langdales had passed, I hung around in the hope that something interesting was going to happen. The weather front coming in suddenly added some drama so I managed to get a few quick shots before fleeing from the rain!

It’s my first day as a member of the @thelakelanders , a group of 10 photographers who post daily shots from the Lake District. If you don’t already follow them then they’re well worth a look. You also have the chance to get one of your Lake District images featured! This was taken at Buttermere on a recent @ll_instameet

Some lovely light over the Howgills this evening. It’s very easy to forget to look behind you sometimes!

One from yesterday morning at Buttermere, the venue for tomorrow’s @ll_instameet 😀 It took some willpower to drive passed all the mist at Loughrigg and Rydal so I was very relieved to find the conditions as good as this 😃
